Hi all, I'm following the recent posts with interest... Although I have a technical background, I define myself as a user rather as an analyst/programmer/admin...
Ubuntu is the first distro that I, my wife (allergic to PCs) and kids all use without complaining too much... I can print, store my files, chat, etc etc without too much hassle... OK.. it still can't go to sleep and wake up properly, and wireless success is variable... My point is that if we want Malta to take up linux, we have to make it as simple as possible... Ubuntu seems to fit the bill at the moment... An install/deinstall and dual-boot demo/installfest would go a long way... No one will ditch windows unless there are benefits (in money and time) to be had _______________________________________________ MLUG-list mailing list [email protected] http://linux.org.mt/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mlug-list
