When you're going to install a package and need to find it:
emerge search <package_name>
There could be more than one out there. OOo is a good example where there is
a Ximianised version.

Just decide on what you want and set it running overnight. Be aware that
Xfree86 is being dumped, so:
exodus scripts # emerge -pv xorg-x11
These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
