I'm on cable, but using Mandrake 9.1

You should tell RH to use dhcp. This is what happens in mandrake & there is no 
configuration to be done after that. All ip nos, DNs etc are auto-set. The PC 
thinks it's on an ethernet lan.

If you were to use mandrake i can help more!
