Hi,

I did run into an issue which maybe could be interesting for somebody on the list.

I use opensmtpd 5.4.4_p1 on Gentoo x64. Opensmtpd - or more exactly the mta - crashes if a tun device is up after receiving a mail. I tried out several options like disabling IPv6 on tun device and listen on dedicated IP - always same result.

In /var/log/messages:
<snip>
... smtpd[5113]: segfault at 0 ip 00007f1866b4e89b sp 00007fff79741bc0 error 4 in libasr.so.0.0.0[7f1866b48000+d000]

Gentoo provides in it's repository libasr-1.0.0 only. Perhaps other distros use the same version. The issue does not happen with libasr-1.0.1. I did manual install the newer version and did rebuild opensmtpd against it.

I did file a bug on Gentoo: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=543756.

Kai
