First of all you need to realize SSL is not as cool or secure as you seem to think it is. There are many applications which fail to do proper revocation and/or authority checks, but even if all applications were perfect, you'd still face the issue of, "Why trust the cert authorities?" Anyhow, if you insist... 1.) Get a free shell account at https://devio.us 2.) Access your devio.us account over ssh. 3.) Use lynx to read html page with the ssh keys for the anoncvs servers. 4.) Manually chech the ssh keys of the anoncvs servers before adding them to your ~/.ssh/known_hosts Also, check out the StrictHostKeyChecking option of ssh.
