In src/sys/dev/usb/umsm.c change the line

{{ USB_VENDOR_NOVATEL, USB_PRODUCT_NOVATEL_ZEROCD2 }, 0},

to

{{ USB_VENDOR_NOVATEL, USB_PRODUCT_NOVATEL_ZEROCD2 }, DEV_UMASS1},

then try DEV_UMASS2, DEV_UMASS3 & DEV_UMASS4 if that doesn't work.
