Last summer I bought a new Thinkpad T500 with the "Thinkpad WiFi" thinking that it was based on an Atheros chipset. Instead, Lenovo has started distributing their Thinkpads with Realtek chips. Mine is a Realtek RTL8192SE. I would have bought an Intel card instead if I was aware of this before my purchase.
>From what I can tell based on recent commits, the Linux guys have gotten some support for this device based on their driver for the RTL8171, which OpenBSD supports with urtw(4). Is there anyone currently working on an OpenBSD driver for this card? P.S. Please CC me, since I'm not subscribed to the list.
