Hello list. During the weekend I tried the simplest of experiments, removing the disks from the supposedly-failing controller and attaching them to the mobo builtin IDE controller, without paying much attention to which was the "lowest" and which the "higher". I fired OpenBSD up and it booted correctly, recognizing both disks and mounting the RAID0 volume without any complain.
Needless to wasy, the onboard stuff has been copied away and the disks have already been reused in separate USB cases. Once more, OpenBSD rocks!
