I have a Lenovo T61 also, and experienced this problem some time ago.
I see from your mixerctl output you have
inputs.sel6_source=dac2
Jacob suggested I try setting the following:
mixerctl inputs.sel6_source=dac
and with that the headphones/speakers work as expected.
