Hello:
I have been working with OpenBSD since 4.4 came out, trying to learn things
as I go.
I decided to have a go with the upgrade process. So, I booted off the 4.5CD,
and followed the steps to upgrade (I did not pay attention to the dmesg as
it scrolled by when booting from the 4.5 CD). So, I completed the steps for
upgrade from the console (a Sony Vaio model PCG-672R) and got to the point
of trying to upgrade the packages when I realized I couldn't connect through
the built in Ethernet port. Then I noticed that ifconfig did not display the
adapter, and then I saw, in dmesg:
        fxp0 at pci2 dev 8 function 0 "Intel PRO/100 VE" rev 0x42: couldn't
map interrupt
(this occurs when booting with the 4.5CD and, now, the upgraded system)
I took a look at the bios configuration, to see if there was some option
about interrupts, but, not surprisingly, there was not.

I am wondering what I should do next. It worked flawlessly with 4.4. I did
a little google searching about this, but couldn't find anything to point me
in any direction.

(right now, I can't easily get a copy of the dmesg off the laptop, but if
it's necessary, I will figure out some way to do it)

Thanks
Bye - ted
