Just link me into the list of people doing things wrong. :) Anyway, running a checkout from /usr for src will fully work and does what is expected (updates the source tree). There is nothing wrong in doing so, although the server should be specified with -d, which also would make it easier to see what the problem might be. Tobias Stoeckmann
