Hi,

today I had a problem with an amd64 router machine, which threw a bunch
of these error messages, then 'froze':

pckbcintr: no dev for slot 1

The machine is headless, , rack mounted, and keyboard is provided via a
quality KVM switch (8 or more slots), so the usual suspicion of someone
moving the cable should not apply. I was able to ssh in from remote,
and do what I want (in this case, rebooting the machine to get the
keyboard back to life).

Using ssh on the box was comparably sluggish, and it took about 10
minutes from recognizing the "shutdown -r now" and "reboot" commands to
actually rebooting, although load and cpu usage was quite low. If you
have ideas about what to dig, that would be great.

Kind regards,
