Hi,
I was using the Internet and name resolution suddenly stopped.
When I checked I found out
=========================================
$ netstat -an |grep 53
tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1.953 *.* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 59.93.35.248.53 *.* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1.53 *.* LISTEN
udp 0 0 59.93.35.248.53 *.*
udp 0 0 127.0.0.1.53 *.*
tcp6 0 0 ::1.953 *.* LISTEN
tcp6 0 0 *.53 *.* LISTEN
udp6 0 0 *.53

Bind is no longer listening on udp 127.0.0.1.53.
According to the output you provided, it seems to be listening (see line 5 in
netstat)
For the time being i use OpenDNS.
Could some one please let me know how to fix this?
===================================
$ cat /etc/resolv.conf
lookup file bind
nameserver 127.0.0.1
nameserver 208.67.222.222
$ cat /etc/rc.conf.local

named_flags=""
$ sudo ps aux |grep named

Thank you so much
Kind Regards

What does "host www.google.com 127.0.0.1" say and what does "tcpdump -env -i lo0
udp port 53" say?
