Hello:

I recently decided to try OpenBSD. I successfully installed on a Sony Vaio
PCG-672R laptop. (Actually, I have successfully installed OpenBSD 3 or 4
times now, and X-windows, and (i think) KDE. Practice makes perfect when I
am trying to learn something new.)
Anyway, I also have a Netgear WG511 (v1) pcmcia wireless network card. I
have been unable to get this to work. I have looked at the man page for
pgt, and done some searching over the last week on the web, but am unable to
figure this out. The pcmcia card did work successfully in the past under
MSwindows 2k and XP.
So, after installing the system, downloading and "pkg_add" from
http://www.nazgul.ch/pgt/pgt-firmware-1.1.tgz (well actually, i used
http://www.nazgul.ch/pgt/pgt-firmware-1.2.tgz), i plug in the card and get:

Feb 1 11:10:11 sam /bsd: pgt0 at cardbus0 dev 0 function 0 "Intersil,
ISL3890, -": irq 3
Feb 1 11:10:12 sam /bsd: pgt0: not responding

So, the card is identified, but that's it. I am not even sure if this is a
hardware error or a software error.

Any help or suggestions would be great.

dmesg is below

Thanks
bye - ted
