I usually have:
#ifdef __OpenBSD__
size_t stacksize;
pthread_attr_getstacksize(&attr, &stacksize);
pthread_attr_setstacksize(&attr, stacksize * 2);
#endif
in my threaded stuff.
Doubling the size usually works for my C++ stuff.
