Strongly recommend against wood - no matter how you build the rack, you're
still restricting airflow.
Most supply houses have the standard stainless steel shelving - we use 24"
deep racks, 6' or 8' tall. It's common in restaurants, industrial
applications, back-office style business supply.
Another advantage is that dust collects very little on wire.
