Hello,

since I still got trouble (first slow than stops working) with 2 D-Link
DUB E-100 devices using axe I wonder if anyone of you is using any other
USB<->Ethernet NICs that work and are getting full 100MBit speed with
USB2.0?

If you are using such a device, please also metion which version of
OpenBSD, or any other BSD for that matter, you are using.

Maybe even drop a little dmesg &| usbdevs -v output.

Thanks in advance,

Hi Michael,

I've been using the Linksys USB100M for some time with OpenBSD.

Currently on a Zaurus C3200

zaurus:fred /home/fred> usbdevs -v
Controller /dev/usb0:
addr 1: full speed, self powered, config 1, OHCI root hub(0x0000), PXA27x(0x0000), rev 1.00
 port 1 powered
port 2 addr 2: full speed, power 120 mA, config 1, Linksys USB LAN Adapter(0x8150), Linksys(0x0bda), rev 1.00
zaurus:fred /home/fred> ifconfig url
url0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
        lladdr 00:10:60:e9:42:87
        groups: egress
        media: Ethernet autoselect (100baseTX full-duplex)
        status: active
        inet6 fe80::210:60ff:fee9:4287%url0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x5
        inet 192.168.5.26 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.5.255

A dmesg with it can be found at:

http://www.crowsons.net/puters/zaurus.php

Although I have upgraded to a later snapshot today, and haven't updated the dmesg on that page :~)

HTH

Fred
