Apart from the "autocong" misspell, the "up" would not be necessary, and why are you setting an lladdr? Given that the device name is "vio", it would be a guest so its mac would in some sense be "controlled" by the host and it doesn't make much sense to have it changed from within the guest as far as I can see.

If you run "ifconfig -a", which interfaces do you see?

Thank you for reading my message and spotting the typo, it was only in the message though...

I use lladdr for a DHCP reservation on host.

In any case after a reboot everything works as expected ... not sure why ... maybe another typo somewhere that I fixed while trying this and that.

Thanks again!

BTW thanks to the OpenBSD devs for VMD and everything else.

I can report MP kernel support with 8.0 works as expected.

Awesome!

    Hi guys,

This is probably me missing some info, tried change log but not
    able to
    find what/where..

I have an old VM 7.9 with vio0 works fine after upgrade to 8.0
    (host).
    Trying to upgrade the

VM to 8.0 and setting up a vio0 interface with:

    /etc/hostname.vio0

    lladdr aa:bb:cc

    autocong

    up

reboot does not bring the interface up.

    sh /etc/netstart vio0

    no errors

    ifconfig vio0 no such interface.

    ifconfig create -> errors

Does anyone have a similar issue, snag?

    Thanks,

    George
