Why on earth would it need to have over a hundred thousand files open
at the same time when typing in a search bar?
To be honest, i never tried with less number of files/folder opens, or
event another such solutions where we can restrained the max entries
of kdemenu in a config file.
Sorry if the hundred thousand of files triggered you, I would never
think that is too much to open at the same time, but that's one (of
many other solutions, probably) I find to resolve without change it in
the future.
Sorry again, if my advice given is worthless too
No, no. The sysctl entry itself originated on the Internet.
That's random advice of people who teach others tuning the system.
