This sounds like you are misunderstanding what the snapshots are about. If you want the latest 7.3-stable, install 7.3 and run syspatch. The snapshots were past 7.3 by some measure even at the time 7.3 was released, and the latest 7.3-something tagged snapshots are in fact closer to 7.4-release than to 7.3-stable.
