Hello, very nice people. A pleasure to follow writing in this list.

Here is Riccardo from Spain.

I've got to Power Mac G5 in my lab, one, a PowerMac7,2, mounting:

cpu0 at mainbus0: 970 (Revision 0x202): 1800 MHz
cpu1 at mainbus0: 970 (Revision 0x202): 1800 MHz
mem0 at mainbus0
spdmem0 at mem0: 1GB DDR SDRAM non-parity PC3200CL3.0
spdmem1 at mem0: 1GB DDR SDRAM non-parity PC3200CL3.0
spdmem2 at mem0: 1GB DDR SDRAM non-parity PC3200CL3.0
spdmem3 at mem0: 1GB DDR SDRAM non-parity PC3200CL3.0

The other, a PowerMac7,3, mounting:

cpu0 at mainbus0: 970FX (Revision 0x300): 2300 MHz
cpu1 at mainbus0: 970FX (Revision 0x300): 2300 MHz
mem0 at mainbus0
spdmem0 at mem0: 1GB DDR SDRAM non-parity PC3200CL3.0
spdmem1 at mem0: 1GB DDR SDRAM non-parity PC3200CL3.0
spdmem2 at mem0: 1GB DDR SDRAM non-parity PC3200CL3.0
spdmem3 at mem0: 1GB DDR SDRAM non-parity PC3200CL3.0
spdmem4 at mem0: 1GB DDR SDRAM non-parity PC3200CL3.0
spdmem5 at mem0: 1GB DDR SDRAM non-parity PC3200CL3.0

Now, we know that macppc OpenBSD is a 32bit capable kernel but why the twos
machines give only 2GB of real mem:

afrokrema$ dmesg | grep real\ mem
real mem = 2147483648 (2048MB)
afrokrema$

taglio@cyberanarkhia:/home/taglio$ dmesg | grep real\ mem
real mem = 2147483648 (2048MB)
taglio@cyberanarkhia:/home/taglio$

Kindly regards,

RG.
