Show us fdisk wd0 and disklabel wd0 output, or it's difficult to help at all. :) For reference, my X41 triple boots XP, Ubuntu and OpenBSD without a hitch. Oh and OpenBSD is at the end of the disk, 1024 cylinder problems were solved quite some time ago.
