There is exactly one boot console, but you may have multiple ttys. At
the moment, you boot on the serial console, but you have additional "pc"
ttys ("/dev/ttyC?").
Of course you can also do the reverse: Boot on the pc console and
configure additional serial ttys (see ttys(5), FAQ 7).
