with Asterisk, expect near same functionality as Linux has
except of support for Digium hardware.
With have 4 x OpenBSD/Asterisk linking geographically separated sites
over Internet OpenVPN tunnels.
* 3 sites use Virtual Machines ESX 4 and 5.0
Around 100 connected SIP devices per site. 3 sites route through primary
site for trunking
10 MB Sip Trunk connecting to ITSP.
Majority of our voice traffic is between sites, and we have the standard
set of 'stuff' configured:
* voicemail
* call parking
* call queues
* pickup groups
* conference calls
* direct indials
* call redirection
We're still using the Asterisk 1.8.xx but hope to migrate someday to the
10.xx series for better conferencing features.
I haven't gotten any of the GUI working, as we currently manage
everything using vim and the appropriate configuration files.
