If you're needing temporary relief, you can shut down httpd, move /var/www
to /home/www, then symlink /var/www -> /home/www and restart httpd again.
Might not be a solution to recommend long term however; I'm not sure what
a symlink instead of a "real" /var/www directory would do to the upgrade
process (might also be perfectly ok, but I've never tried).
