Or, since you skipped a few steps, give serious thought to just rebuilding the box from scratch. Or, as you say it is your firewall, build a new one on new HW (you should have redundant HW anyway, right?) and switch the cables. Or, just invest in a new hard disk, install on that, keep your old disk handy in case you miss something. Nick.
