Hi all,

I've been trying to create some very small mailinglists. In first instance i just edited /etc/mail/aliases and made a new alias with multiple relay addresses. I ran newaliases and everything works fine. Now i've increased the amount of relay addresses to around 50. newaliases now complains about an alias being to long.

I've found the option of using a file as a mailing list like:
TM_bestuur: /home/jabal/TempiMisti/bestuur.list

virtusertable says:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] TM_bestuur

Ofcourse i've should have used this in the first place instead of writing a special script. But this option doesn't seem to work. Mail gets bounced like this:

----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
/home/jabal/TempiMisti/bestuur.list
    (reason: Can't create output)
    (expanded from: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>)

----- Transcript of session follows -----
550 5.0.0 /home/jabal/TempiMisti/bestuur.list... Can't create output

$ cat bestuur.list
Jasper Bal <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

also tried:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

started with:
# comment
# comment
# comment
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Should the comments be possible?
Reason to post this to misc@ is that the documentation says it should work. But my box running OpenBSD doesn't seem to care.

Help, anyone?
Jasper
