I have an SL-5500. It works great, but the battery life can be bad. When I was still in college, I could use it for a day of classes, but would have to charge it as soon as I got home. If you plan on doing anthing that uses the CF slot (wireless networking maybe?) the battery life drops drastically, so keep the charger with you if you can. Stefan
