Actually the router ID is also checked by OpenBSD but it is absolutly unusable for tossing routes in the right direction. The router ID of your neighbor is not under your control. A lot of people abuse the metric|MED for such a thing but that's a hack and not what the MED is designed for. -- :wq Claudio
