Did you modify sshd_config?
Yes, read "man -8 afterboot", disable login root.
Did you try ssh localhost?
Your user active in localhost. Login is automatic in localhost. Diferent
username use ssh -l username

two machines.
Default gateway correct?
Can you ping the machine?
Did you modify sshd_config?
Did you try ssh localhost?
