I can strongly suggest Sourcetree. With it, you can go line by line through
source files and add only the bits and pieces you want to a commit. It's
possible from the commandline, but extremely painful. Note you'll need an
Atlassian account. But for the rest it's a free tool. I use it daily to
split up my work in bits and pieces.
