I am not seeing what you have described. If I completely remove c:\mingw 
I still get errors because libwinpthread-1.dll cannot be found even 
though it is clearly part of the mingw-64 gcc 5.1.0 distribution I am 
using to compile/link a program. Once I create a symbolic directory link 
from c:\mingw to the place where my 5.1. mingw32 directory has been 
installed everything works without problems.
