Hello List (and Ruben)!

I am thinking about upgrading my compiler (and various libraries I use).
I am currently using one of Ruben's 64-bit 4.7 builds.

I'm looking for additional c++11 support, keeping, of course, support for
std::thread. I imagine that 4.8 is the way to go.

My wish list:

   64-bit native windows compiler
   4.7 or better, preferably 4.8
std:::thread, ideally without the static issue
compatible with recent Qt source (i.e., either 4 or 5) (I will rebuild Qt)
   relatively stable and bug free

I am not concerned with abi compatibility (other than with c), as I will
plan to rebuild my third-party c++ libraries.

What would people recommend as the best way to go? Is there anything
on the short-term horizon that I should make a point of waiting for?

Thanks.

K. Frank
