Hi,

I just released mhWaveEdit version 1.4.14:
http://download.gna.org/mhwaveedit/mhwaveedit-1.4.14.tar.bz2

News in this release:

- The silence selection function has been improved so it no longer
interpolates over long regions (longer than 0.2 seconds). Some people
were worried about the large DC values that you could get from doing
this. Now it ramps down to zero, stays at zero, and ramps back up. This
also makes it a _lot_ faster for large selections.

- A default path for LADSPA effects is now compiled in (you can change
it with the configure script option --with-default-ladspa-path). This
will be used if there is no LADSPA_PATH environment variable has been
set. This should remove the need for wrapper scripts, for example in the
Debian package.

- The bug with loading FLAC and AIFF files (or any other
libsndfile-supported format with 16-bit PCM data) and getting the wrong
byte order has been fixed.

- Some bugs with handling zero-length sounds have been fixed.

- The German translation was updated, thanks to Georg Funke.

Best regards,
Magnus Hjorth
