After your email, I located the byte-order bug and it will be fixed in the next release... About the crash, I don't think that is mhwaveedit's fault. Maybe you can try converting it on the command line with this command: sndfile-convert file.flac file.wav and see if it crashes there too.. Thanks for reporting the bug!
