------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2006-10-17 01:42 -------
On Tiger, Mac OS X 10.4, /bin/cp does not understand -d:

cp: illegal option -- d
usage: cp [-R [-H | -L | -P]] [-f | -i | -n] [-pv] src target
       cp [-R [-H | -L | -P]] [-f | -i | -n] [-pv] src1 ... srcN directory

COPY_LIBS is not defined in my configs/darwin (I used a tape archive of version
6.5.1). Some users might
decide to install the GNU file utilities with Fink or DarwinPorts, then gcp
might be available and -d would
work again.

What's so bad of cd'ing or using tar as in GNU Emacs?

And what about libOSMesa? If it's not needed because Mac OS X has OpenGL built
in, why is it built? (The
more basic question is why I seem to need Mesa for X11R7.1!)
