Well, Mesa is also available under the Xfree86 license - which
basically allows you to do what the heck you like.
However, assuming you are playing 'Mr Nice Guy', you'll want to
place your changes back into the public domain. That being the
case, you need to decide whether your changes will be small
enough to insert into the standard Mesa release as '#ifdef PALM_PILOT'
sections - or if the changes are so large that you have to take
a copy of the entire tree and 'fork' it.
If you do the latter then you'll cease to gain the advantages
of a widely used OpenSource package (free debugging!). I
strongly suggest you discuss with this group the extent of
the changes you think you need to make.
I must say that a working OpenGL on an itty-bitty Palm-Pilot
would be quite something! (Especially with the up-coming
colour version).
Heck - I might even have to run out and buy one myself!
