Just a question of whether we'd rather recurse into src/ in order to
recurse into src/{...}. If keeping the top-level Makefile.am smaller
is what we want, I'll move the SUBDIRS += ... into src/Makefile.am. As
it stands though, patch 2 kills src/Makefile.am.
