If you're talking about meson, I just did, and the only way _drm_amdgpu_ver is checked is if you have radv or radeonsi enabled. (Note that freedreno currently depends on the same version as amdgpu) I also noticed a bug with the vc4 libdrm check, but that's unrelated.
