Hi list. This is a bit of a stab in the dark, and I'm just after some pointers/ideas really.
For a project I'm working on, I'm hosting some PDF's, docx's etc for various companies. Obviously, files will be added, moved, deleted, renamed. What I'm wondering is if there's a program that will take a snapshot either at a given time each day, or as changes occur (automatically) so a file can be undeleted / restored. By the way, this is using Apache httpd and WebDAV shares. I've seen that I could use SVN autocommit, but before I go down that road, I'd like to know if: 1. Could Mercurial do this? 2. If not, are you aware of another tool that will? 3. It's not worth the trouble (my view at the moment). Many thanks for any ideas.
