Hi everyone, just a quick note about a team I'm looking to strengthen with an injection of real Python know-how:
Tequity (the employer/provider) is providing contract services in 2016 and beyond to help nbn co (the Client) build custom GIS tools in Melbourne and Sydney. Here, we have a major push for network mapping and graphing purposes together with associated data translation and relationship modelling. This time we are looking to hire a clutch of very good cross-platform Python lovers in both Melbourne and Sydney locations to bolster the team and cut their teeth on the stacks involving custom Java, custom Postgres, VMware on both Linux and Windows. If you happen to know of anyone who might be interested, then I can pave the way very quickly. We are looking for things like QGIS, FME, Alteryx, GIS background, Strong python development, Network modelling, graphing, etc. We're not asking for the holy grail! So realistically our requirements are for capable Python Devs with an understanding - a genuine interest, good grasp on mathematics/algorithms and the problem solving that goes into it. There are 5x contract prospects (anticipated tenure around 18months in 3m rolling intervals)… and there are permanent opportunities once headcount is freed up each quarter. We also need a couple of tech leads. Please pass this around your networks.
