   If you are using the ubuntu box . u got to type the following command b4 U 
start the N900 boot
$ sudo flasher-3.5 -l -k meego-handset-armv7l-n900-*-vmlinuz-*-n900 -b
Also,
   U R  vmlinuz shud  be of the same version as dat of the buid U hv taken in 
the MMC card..

Yes, I did. To make sure that, I insert mmc when device on with maemo and 
closed back cover, then switched off the device flashed the kernel and boot 
from MMC. Still did not success.
I am thinking is there something might be wrong with my sd card. It is a brand 
new micro SDHC car class 6 4GB.

First thing that comes to mind:

did you close the back cover of N900 before booting..?
N900 doesn't mount the MMC when the cover is open, and
that's usually producing this kind of symptoms.
