openSUSE is booting to nauilus in 7 seconds on a laptop using systemd, so don't discard it as impossible to beet MeeGo's existing infrastructure :) We haven't tried MeeGo on the same hardware yet, so this isn't a proper comparison, but please don't think that the systemd developers aren't very interested in a fast boot as well.
