As it turned out I copied my Archlinux x86_64 kernel and modules into the Meego partition, on a Toshiba dual-core laptop, and it booted up and I am sending this from within Meego via a wired connection. I've never used a rpm based system before so I'll have to rtfg to figure out how to enable wireless. I also installed a i386 nano rpm from the main nano site and it's working okay as well. So, so far, a non-meego 64bit kernel and a foreign rpm both seem to work okay. So a variation of my question is, would there be any chance that OBS will install and work on Meego itself? ie; is Meego self-hosting? --markc _______________________________________________ MeeGo-dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.meego.com/listinfo/meego-dev
