Hello, As decided in our meeting last week, we will have meeting tomorrow, monday (/sunday evening PDT) about remaining issues for N900 May release. Would be nice if Intel (kernel) folks can also join to give their view/opinnion.
Meeting is held in #meego-meeting on irc.freenode.net at monday 9.00 EEST (14.00 Beijing, 8.00 CEST, 6.00 UTC, sunday 23.00 PDT). The issue is that we are very late with some of the N900 kernel functionality for .33 kernel/ MeeGo May release. Because of that some hacks may be required to enable those in May release, that of course should be quite stable alredy. Ameya & Roger have created following merge request: http://meego.gitorious.org/meego-os-base/kernel-source/merge_requests/7 It contains following features + bug fixes: Reduce Nokia N900 kernel size #BCM2217 N900 Battery charging support #BCM2260 Fix N900 TWL4030 watchdog reboot issue #BCM2206 Add Bluetooth driver for N900 #BCM2201 Add Graphics Accelerator driver for N900 #BCM2200 Add Audio drivers for N900 #BCM1892 (BCM refers to bug number at bugs.meego.com) We of course hope that it will be accepted soon, so that we can have kernel with all the features in Meego-1.0-core repo itself. However, because we are clearly late, some kind of hack may be initially needed.
