Extension:Layers REL1_39 (LTS) (Mediawiki 1.39 to 1.43) has been updated to resolve errors and to add some missing key features. I have confirmed that it is working on MW1.39.7 but more testing is needed. I have not tested all features.
Linking: [[File:image.png | layers=layer-set | layerslink=editor]] opens the editor to the named layer set. [[File:image.png | layers=layer-set | layerslink=editor-newtab]] opens the editor to the named layer set in a new tab. [[File:image.png | layers=layer-set]] opens to the image's 'File:' page. Closing the editor returns to the previous page and not the 'File:' page. [[File:image.png | layers=layer-set | layerslink=viewer]] opens a full size 'lightbox' of the image. The REL1_39 branch has not been tested as extensively as the 'main' branch. Please provide feedback if you find issues on either branch and I will try to resolve them quickly. I will continue to focus on the 'main' branch (MW 1.44+). If there are features in the 'main' branch that you would like to see in the REL1_39 branch, please ask and I will do my best to port them over.
