The wiki code: {{fullurl:{{PAGENAME}}|action=edit}}

If I put this on the mediawiki sandbox
(https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Project:Sandbox) I get text:
        //www.mediawiki.org/w/index.php?title=Sandbox&action=edit

If I put this on one of my wikis, such as https://www.shoppingtomorrow.nl/Test,
I get a link. You can't see the source but you can take my word that it is the
same as on the sandbox.

Can you give us an example of the output?
