Hi everybody,
I have a backup of the files and the sql-db of an old MediaWiki (1.9.3)
from 2007. I want to revive this wiki completely with the current
MediaWiki-Version.
What is the easiest/fastest way to import this old data in a new
MediaWiki-Installation?
I thought about 2 ways:
1. Try to restore the complete old MediaWiki and upgrade that one (step
by step, if necessary). But this is difficult, because I would need old
version of PHP etc...
2. Import and Update only the data directly to the new Version. But I
don't know if this is possible and what tools I could use...
Do you have any ideas or experience in getting such an old Wiki back on
the feet?
