As I have been talking to third-party MW users quite a lot recently, I

Proposals welcome.

I have seen some previous work like that has been
reverted because WMF does not want to endorse any external parties on mw.org.

[citation needed] :)

It would be useful to know about these reverts in order to understand the reasons and how we all can do better next itme.

However, at the same time I see some pages featuring such users such as
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki_testimonials and
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki_with_BitNami. So my question here
is how much is acceptable?

Totally acceptable?

The only limitations I can think of are the usual: unmaintained, broken or unsecure software, misleading use of trademarks or ownership... Other than that this is a free software project interested in promoting the activities of the community and remarkable uses done by third parties.
