I meant .htpasswd:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.htpasswd

It puts a password on accessing a page (or site) at all. Then once
you've put in that password, you can access the wiki or whatever.

It's annoying and confusing because it's a completely separate
password, and it's set by the server admin and not user-changeable. So
I wouldn't recommend it unless you really think you need that level of
security (in which case you'd probably run it on SSL as well).
